The programming committee is trying an experiment to pre-select songs for our Sunday sessions a few weeks in advance, in order to better support members who like to practice at home (and those who just want to know!). As we get used to this new workflow, we may need to adjust some song choices here and there, so we appreciate your patience as we figure it out together! Here’s a draft of songs we’re planning to teach over the next many weeks.
In the lead up to HONK! we will be doing a few things:
- Learning a new song arranged by School of HONK member and Summer HONK participant Apollo!
- Rotating Ghostbusters back into our active song list for the spooky season!
- Expanding the teaching part of our practices to include three songs to do as much song review as we can in the lead up to the festival!
- Closing the band to newcomers (except dancers) on Sunday September 28th and October 5th to make sure our current members get the change to shine at this special event with big, enthusiastic crowds!
