School of HONK turns two years old, and we’re celebrating with a
Sunday, Oct 30, 3-6 pm
Cambridge Community Art Center (119 Windsor St, Cambridge)
Our dancers have some really easy, fun dance moves for kids to learn and master in no time at all, and then perform, in costume for the whole neighborhood. Free and open to kids of all ages and their families.
Don’t forget a costume, or polka dots, or blinky-lights, or whatever puts you in the spirit of the season.

The HONK! Festival is just a few weeks away, and organizers are still looking for local residents who can help house visiting musicians during the weekend (Oct 7-9). Click here if you’d like to help.
School of HONK returns to Somerville’s Porchfest this Saturday, May 21, 4-6 pm, in front of the VFW Dilboy Hall (corner of Cutter Ave and Summer St). Come join our musical party, and don’t forget your dancing shoes!

This Friday evening, School of HONK will by playing loud and proud at the Great Urban Campout in Lincoln Park, along with our newest members from Camp HONK.
6th Annual Great Urban Campout
Friday, July 24
Call time: 6:30 pm
Set: 7 -8 pm
Lincoln Park (near Argenziano School) in Somerville
Hosted by the City of Somerville and members of the community, there will be campfires, smores, stories, and more. We’ll start playing around 7 pm, and everyone is invited to stay and pitch at tent overnight!
We’ll be taking Davis Square by storm to kickoff this year’s ArtBeat, a two-day fest put on by the Somerville Arts Council. Catch us in Statue Park around 5:30pm on Friday July 17th, and stick around for the rest of the ArtBeat festivities!

School of HONK meets again at 3 pm this Sunday, June 14, at First Church Somerville UCC, 89 College Ave, Somerville, just a few blocks from Davis Square.
School of HONK is a place we all have fun learning to play music together. Some of us are experienced musicians, some of us are brand new to music-making, and all our songs include easy parts anyone can learn to play right away.
